Robot Coupe R2: documented failure points, real repair-part prices, and used-market pricing for buyers and owners.

**Observed used price:** $700–$950

**Documented failure risks:**
- Polycarbonate bowl: A verified WebstaurantStore buyer review on the R2N reports the clear bowl cracking below the handle during ownership; another buyer reported a defective unit where the bowl would not latch into place at all.
- Vegetable pusher: A buyer review reports the continuous-feed vegetable pusher broke roughly 3 months into use, a low-cost but recurring wear part.
- Safety switch / bowl-lid interlock: Parts Town's model-specific R2 troubleshooting guide identifies a broken safety switch pin and a misseated bowl lid or continuous-feed ramp as the leading reasons the unit won't power on at all -- an interlock-driven nuisance fault rather than a motor failure.
- Cutting/grating blade edge: A 1-star buyer review reports current-production R2 blades ship duller than earlier versions, requiring the owner to sharpen constantly -- consistent with Parts Town's guide, which traces torn/ragged cuts and watery grated vegetables directly to a dull blade.
